Ball System Q&A

 1.    Who can use the Pool Tree System?

(a) Above ground round pools up to 27’ without a pool fence attached to the pool upright (also, uprights must allow the ability to pass the strap behind them).

(b) Oval pools up to 18' x 36' without a pool fence attached to the pool uprights(also, uprights must allow the ability to pass the strap behind them).

(c) In Ground pool up to 20' x 40'

2.      How can wind affect my pool cover?

Heavy winds could damage any type of pool cover. We place extra weights on the porous pool cover temporarily causing the cover sections to sink under water and stabilize it from wind. When heavy winds stop, remove the extra weights form the pool cover. In areas of sustained high winds, we place extra weights on top of the porous pool cover for the season.

Do not use pool clips to tie down the pool cover. The Pool Tree System was designed to let the pool cover have some movement and allow the debris to blow away in the wind.

3.     How do I adjust the cord/rope supports to the proper tension for the pool?

We supply all the ropes the same length to accommodate up each pool type. To adjust the rope for your pool size, adjust all ropes to the same length, and be sure the black poly chord is stretched approximately 4" leaving tension on the line. It may take a few trips around the pool to find the proper length. When the length is determined, cut off any excess rope.

4.     Will my pool cover fit over the Pool Tree System?

All normal pool cover sizes will fit the over the Pool Tree System.

5.    Is there any difference between covers?

There are porous pool covers and there are solid pool covers. We use recommend porous pool covers  because the porous cover will not hold any water, but allows the water to pass through.  The Pool Tree System is designed to work only with both porous and solid pool cover. Up until now, porous covers were not used because there was no system to keep the debris off the pool cover. As a result, all the decay form the debris would sit on the cover and eventually get into the pool water. Because the Pool Tree System always stands tall, this problem is eliminated.  The rain water and melting snow passes through into the pool while the debris blows away with the breeze. This allows the pool cover to be debris free and dry. Come Spring time, removing the pool cover is hassle free and a lot less tedious.

6.    Do I do anything different when closing the pool?

Yes.  For porous cover users, because the porous cover allows the water to pass through into the pool, it dilutes the chemicals through the winter months.  We shock and stabilize the pool water in the spring two weeks before opening. This method has worked for us very well and produces excellent results.

7.    What about the water level in the pool?

Keeping the water level is a simple matter.  There are many different solutions. We first plug the skimmer. Next we remove the ring and the deflector ball for the water inlet hole. Then we disconnect the hose, leaving an opening for excess water to level itself up to that point.

8.   Will the Pool Tree System tear my pool cover?

The Pool Tree System was designed to have no sharp edges.

9.   Should I use pool clips on my pool cover?

NO. Do not use pool clips to tie down the pool cover. The Pool Tree System was designed to let the pool cover have some movement and allow the debris to blow away in the wind.
